Efficiency and Certainty in Labor Law: How Solver Law Firm Uses Lawai
A sparring partner — especially for younger lawyers
Simen G. Kleveland is a lawyer at the law firm Solver. He mainly works with labor law, but also with negotiations and dispute resolution. As one of the firm’s lawyers focusing on labor law, he has integrated Lawai into his daily work.
“We use it a lot for quick checks and simple discussions,” Kleveland explains. It’s often small things, such as a language check on a draft — or just getting immediate, fast answers.
He emphasizes that the tool is especially helpful for lawyers early in their careers:
“For those who haven’t worked with labor law for long, Lawai is a very good sparring partner. It makes it easier to get started on a topic you need to write an assessment on.”
A digital “super-assistant”
Kleveland describes Lawai — and AI solutions more broadly — as a kind of digital assistant.
“I know many call it a ‘super-assistant’– always on and ready to use,” he says.
He finds it particularly helpful for handling administrative tasks that would otherwise steal valuable time. Starting a template or drafting a document are typical examples, and he sees clear benefits in a busy workday.
“That’s where we see we can actually save quite a bit of time,” he adds.
According to Kleveland, this is particularly valuable for smaller firms or environments with few specialists:
“If you’re one or two people working with labor law, HR and leadership, without a large team around you to spar with, a solution like this is very good.”
Better than general AI tools
For Kleveland, the quality of the answers is a decisive factor:
“The answers we get are good — and far better than what you get from general AI solutions,” he says.
A clear recommendation
Kleveland concludes with a clear recommendation:
“I encourage everyone who hasn’t tried AI solutions to get started. You don’t need to be a technology expert. The most important thing is to integrate it into your daily work and routines.”
At the same time, he underscores that artificial intelligence is not a replacement for experienced advisors:
“It won’t replace us any time soon, but it can be a good assistant to simplify work and save time on tasks that often get postponed.”
